That’s nuts…!  A trio of squirrels with multi-coloured fur were the first of its species born at the Chester Zoo in the UK.  The squirrels are vital to the survival of the forests where they’re from in South East Asia by redistributing seeds from the fruits they eat. It helps create new generations of plants. The three youngsters were born following their mother’s 48-day pregnancy.  The cute looking animals are known as Prevost’s squirrels and feature multicolour fur on their bodies.  Their stomachs are maroon in colour, their backs and heads are black and their sides white and grey, including parts of their faces.
